Melody Nelson started life in 2006 as a boutique located in Brunswick’s Hardwick building. We were constantly on the hunt for unique products for the store and on a trip to the USA in 2009 stumbled upon We Dream in Colour’s beautiful jewels. We made contact with Jade and received our first order later that year. We distinctly remember unpacking that first box and having customers snap up the pieces before they ever made it onto the shelves… needless to say it remained a best-seller until we closed our retail store in 2015. Since then we have been proudly representing We Dream in Colour jewellery in Australia, where you will find it in selected boutiques across the country.

Located in Salem, Massachusetts, We Dream in Colour was founded in New York City by designer Jade Gedeon. Born in the United States and raised in Trinidad, she has made her home in numerous countries – including a year in Sydney, Australia. She studied art and design at the Pratt Institute and in 2002 she decided to put her artful background to work & has since sought to offer affordable accessories that range from the quirky to the elegantly refined.

Each and every We Dream in Colour piece is assembled by hand by We Dream in Colour’s in-house production team in Salem, MA.

We Dream in Colour strive to operate as an environmentally and socially conscious entity, avoiding harmful production processes and using non-toxic solutions to prep, clean and colour pieces. We Dream in Colour use reclaimed metals and vintage and antique re-purposed materials where possible, and all scrap metals are recycled. Energy is supplied through National Grid’s GreenUp option and generated from renewable resources. We Dream in Colour donate a portion of their profits, including 1% of their net sales to environmental and humanitarian foundations and charities via 1% for the planet.
